Bottles Beverage Superstore plans to open a Greenville location in September at 7 Milestone Way at Milestone Village Shopping Center off Pelham Road.

Aside from size, the owners of Bottles Beverage Superstore say their approach to business is different than typical beverage retailers. (Photo/Provided)The new store will have 15,000 square feet of wine, beer and spirits, including approximately 5,000 sommelier selected global wines, 3,000 spirits and 2,000 imported and domestic beers, according to a news release. The store will also include a 32-tap growler station and weekly wine tastings.

As a homegrown South Carolina company, Bottles make highlighting local beers and spirits a regular part of doing business.

The first store launched in Mount Pleasant in 2011 by four restauranteurs and a wine aficionado. The owners say their background in hospitality brings a unique perspective, as opposed the typical retail background.

“We look forward to being a part of the Greenville community and introducing our new neighbors to our unique way of serving customers,” managing partner George McLaughlin said in the news release. “With our roots in the hospitality industry, we are committed to providing an amazing customer experience through our awesome friendly and knowledgeable associates.”

The store will also offer a cigar humidor, mixers and accessories. Bottles serves hundreds of restaurants and bars, offering same day delivery.

In addition to its flagship store in Mount Pleasant, Bottles Beverage Superstore also has locations in Summerville and Columbia.
