Sheffield’s Wine Bar & Tapas opens in Mount Pleasant

Owners Cynthia Kirk and John Sheffield opened Sheffield’s Wine Bar & Tapas on Aug. 17 in Suite C of at 320 W. Coleman Blvd. in Mount Pleasant.
The business opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and City Council members G.M. Whitley, Howard Chapman and John Iacofano.
Born of an appreciation of wine and attraction to Southern hospitality, Kirk and Sheffield mix a decade-long experience in the California wine industry with distinctive Lowcountry fare, according to a news release.
A broad selection of domestic and international wines will be offered, along with four rotating local microbrews. Wine flights, light bites, cheeses and charcuterie plates will be paired with beverage options.
“We want to make Sheffield's Wine Bar & Tapas feel like your second home every time you walk in," Kirk said in the news release. "We cannot wait to share our love of wine with our new friends in Mount Pleasant.”
