Jazz fans in the Midlands will want to mark their calendars for the fifth annual Cola Jazz Fest, to be held Sept. 24 and 25 in downtown Columbia. The event is sponsored by the ColaJazz Foundation.
The festival runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 24 at the S.C. State Museum and from 1 pm. to 8 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Hampton-Preston Mansion and Gardens, located at 1615 Blanding St.
The festival will feature both local and national musicians. Saturday night’s gala features two intimate concerts inside the main lobby of the State Museum. Tickets are $50 per person for general admission and $85 for VIP.
Sunday’s all-day event is $20 per person and features five bands and food trucks.

Music offered during the festival ranges from straight-ahead jazz to swing, blues, Latin, fusion and more.
