Here’s the celebrity lineup for the 2023 BMW Pro-Am

The tournament will take place at Thornblade Club in Greer and The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg from June 8-11.

“We are excited to host this exceptional lineup of celebrities during the 2023 BMW Charity Pro-Am,” said Bob Nitto, president of South Carolina Charities Inc. “In addition to returning crowd favorites, we are thrilled to welcome new additions like College Football Hall of Fame Michael Doss and Super Bowl Champion Bradley Pinion. We are also pleased to welcome newcomer Chris Lane who is also headlining this year’s Friday night concert.”

Celebrities new to the event festivities include:

  • Television show On Patrol: Live — Captain Danny Brown
  • College Football Hall of Famer — Michael Doss
  • Former NFL running back — Todd Gurley
  • Country music artist — Chris Lane
  • Television and film actor — D.B. Sweeney
  • Super Bowl champion — Bradley Pinion

Celebrities returning this year include:

  • LPGA Hall of Famer — Amy Alcott
  • Television and film actor — Brian Baumgartner
  • Television and film actor — Andy Buckley
  • Country music artist — George Birge
  • Comedian — Larry the Cable Guy
  • Current 4x world champion boxer — Canelo Alvarez
  • ESPN Golf Analyst — Michael Collins
  • Gold-rated BMW Motorsport works driver — Connor De Phillippi
  • Country pop musician — Jay DeMarcus
  • NFL Hall of Famer — Larry Fitzgerald
  • MLB Hall of Famer — Ken Griffey Jr.
  • Olympic curler and gold medalist — Matt Hamilton

Events include “An Evening with Diamond Rio” free concert at Morgan Square in Spartanburg, Sustainability Summit and a Friday night concert featuring country music singer Chris Lane at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for purchase for the Amy Alcott and Friends Women’s Golf Clinic and Luncheon at The Carolina Country Club and Chapman Cultural Center from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on June 6, as well as for the Sustainability Summit at Bon Secours Wellness Arena from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on June 9.

Funds raised during the 2023 BMW Charity Pro-Am will benefit five charities: Mobile Meals of Spartanburg, Roper Mountain Science Center, Cancer Society of Greenville County, Meyer Center for Special Children, and Gibbs Cancer Center and Research Institute. The public is invited to participate in the tournament’s annual Birdies for Charity program, which will continue to raise money by enabling individual donors to make a one-time flat donation or pledge one cent or more per birdie during the tournament.

The BMW Charity Pro-Am also encourages volunteers to sign up now if interested in being a part of the event.

Since 2001, the tournament has distributed more than $15 million to several Upstate nonprofit organizations, part of more than $3 billion the PGA Tour has raised for charity.
