Charleston-based hospitality staffing agency FoodStaff has been acquired by Hospitality Staffing Solutions LLC, a provider of contingent labor and outsourced services to the hotel and resort industry.

FoodStaff will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Hospitality Staffing Solutions, and founder and CEO Bailey Bolen will remain with the company through a transition period this year, according to a news release. The release said FoodStaff’s current internal and temporary employees will be retained by Hospitality Staffing.

Hospitality Staffing Solutions, founded in 1990 in Atlanta, has operations in 34 states and Puerto Rico, supporting over 800 properties per week. Staffing skill sets include housekeeping and janitorial, kitchen, and food and beverage, among others.

“I was searching for a partner who shares the same philosophies toward excellence in service, training and professionalism,” Bolen said in the release. “I have found that partner in HSS.”

FoodStaff, founded in 1988, provides temporary and full-time personnel to the hospitality industry, specializing in food and beverage staffing needs for the educational, corporate dining, and banquet and event sectors. Clients include Compass Group, Sodexo USA, Sage Dining Services and Marriott International Inc.

“Over the past 30 years, Bailey has created a trusted partner to the hospitality industry, providing quality personnel to many of the industry’s leading companies,” Hospitality Staffing CEO Tim McPherson said in the release. “The addition of FoodStaff will further the strategic growth of our company as we offer new and existing clients trained staff in the food and beverage sector.”
