SimpliPhy receives SC Launch investment

Greenville-based SimpliPhy Inc. has received a $200,000 SC Launch Inc. investment. This is the first investment for the company, which was accepted into SCRA’s SC Launch entrepreneurial program in early 2017.

Prior to the SC Launch Inc. investment, the company received two grants from SCRA that helped launch its beta product, according to a news release.

SimpliPhy is a cloud-based application that simplifies physician compensation for health care organizations and reduces the cost to process physician pay, according to the news release. The product eliminates inefficiencies, prevents overpayment errors and provides modeling tools to ensure compliance, the release said.

“SCRA has played a key role in bringing an important tool for health care providers to market,” SimpliPhy managing partner John Holmes said in the release. “Their investment allowed us to scale to a national level and to begin working with health care systems in several states.”
