Upstate entrepreneur to unveil appraisal app

Residential appraiser, Parsley and Mint founder and Tipsy Taco franchise owner Paul Ryll is at it again.

On Labor Day at the 2021 Valuation Expo in Las Vegas, Ryll will unveil his latest venture: an app that allows home sellers to get a certified appraisal without inviting anyone inside their home, according to a news release.

The app, dubbed Oscar Mike Mobile Appraisal, will guide users through the appraisal process and allow them to send data and images to the Oscar Mike Appraisal Group network. According to Ryll, the process will be more efficient and cost effective than traditional appraisals.

"The residential appraisal industry continues to face challenges due to high transaction volumes, which comes in addition to longstanding concerns around data collection, cost and risk assumption,” Ryll said in the news release. “OMMA delivers a new solution to the industry at a time when it is most needed. We look forward to introducing this product as a positive disruptor that will benefit appraisers, realtors and lenders while allowing end users to more seamlessly and cost-effectively complete the home appraisal process.”

The product is supported by CubiCasa, a global platform for automated floor plans, which now also offers services for the mortgage appraisal industry.
