A North Carolina-based personal injury law firm has staked out its South Carolina presence in Greenville.

The Law Offices of James Scott Farrin will be headed by Greer-native Walter McBrayer Wood, an attorney and shareholder of the company who is returning home after his time working at the firm’s Durham, N.C., headquarters, according to the release.

“It's an honor to be back home, helping folks through trying times,” Wood said in the release.

Michael B. Eller also will draw from his 15-year experience as an attorney in the Palmetto State to represent the office’s personal injury and workers’ compensation clients. The firm will target clients who have been hurt or have had a family member killed during a car wreck, workplace accident or medical malpractice incident, among other circumstances.

"Our greatest satisfaction comes from making a difference in clients' lives," company President James S. Farrin said in the release. "Now we are proud to fight for those who need a voice in South Carolina, too."

The firm operates out of 16 North Carolina offices and has served more than 50,000 injured clients since it opened in 1997, according to the release.
