Zeus Industrial Products continues its expansion in the Midlands with a $15.7 million investment into its existing cooperation in Aiken County that is expected to create 51 jobs.

The news comes weeks after the company announced a $15.9 million expansion in Orangeburg and a $76 million expansion in Calhoun.

The Aiken expansion will convert the warehousing operations, located at 9150 Levels Church Road, and floor space into manufacturing space to increase production.

“This expansion by Zeus is an affirmation that Aiken County continues to provide an environment for manufacturing growth,” said Gary Bunker, Aiken County Council chair, in a news release. “We are excited that this company will add more jobs for our citizens.”

Initial hiring has begun and will continue into 2019. Interested applicants should visit zeusinc.com/careers for more information.

“We are truly excited about expanding our manufacturing presence in Aiken. We have been pleased with the community support that we have received since commencing our Aiken operations in 1999,” John Winarchick, Zeus CEO, said. “We remain committed to being a good citizen of the county, meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers, and most importantly, providing quality careers for all of our employees in an atmosphere that will allow them to flourish.”

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits related to the project.
