Greenwood County’s newest industrial partner, E.A. Sween Co., will be in the North Greenwood Industrial Park, according to a news release.

“We are delighted to celebrate this next important milestone in our company’s history,” Tom H. Sween, E.A. Sween Co. president and CEO, said in the release. “We truly appreciate the warm welcome we’ve received, and we look forward to starting up operations next July. We’re just as proud to announce our support of the Greenwood Promise and their full-circle initiative that unites education and workforce.”

The next phase of E.A. Sween Co.’s journey is to begin construction on the site, which is set to begin with building upfit and parking lot expansion. “When we made the decision to build our spec building it was with great expectations of the company who would one day call it home, and we couldn’t have dreamt of a better fit than E. A. Sween Co.,” Greenwood County Council Chairman Chuck Moates said in the release. “We are excited to have them as a member of our community and wish them a long and prosperous future here in Greenwood County.”
