This fall, Warrior Surf Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Surf-A-Thon. The Folly Beach-based nonprofit aims to raise awareness and donations to support its programs addressing post-service transition challenges, such as post-traumatic stress, moral injury, survivor’s guilt and traumatic brain injury through surf therapy, yoga, wellness sessions and community.
Now through Nov. 17, participants across the country can register online and begin tracking the waves they catch or any activity of their choosing. Warrior Surf Foundation encourages everyone to share their fundraising pages with friends and family via social media, text and email so they can begin earning donations. All registrants will receive a free T-shirt, and various prizes will be awarded based on the amount of money raised.
