Jennifer Patterson has been appointed the new executive director for the SC Alliance to Fix Our Roads. Patterson succeeds Bill Ross, who retired on March 31.
Patterson, who received a master’s degree in public administration from the University of South Carolina, joined the organization in January as vice president and COO.
“I am honored to take on this new role with an organization that has consistently and successfully advocated for sustainable funding to address South Carolina’s infrastructure needs,” Patterson said in a statement. “The condition of our roads and bridges directly impacts our quality of life, and it is so important that South Carolina continues to make smart and strategic investments in our infrastructure in order for the state to be economically competitive.”
Patterson has more than 10 years’ experience working with nonprofit trade associations.
“Jennifer brings great skill, creativity and energy to the position of executive director,” said SCFOR chairman Joel Reynolds. “We believe that her experience, professional relationships, and fresh perspective will be invaluable to the organization as we work to build on the alliance’s achievements to date.”
