Annie Caggiano named Oconee Economic Alliance director

Listen to this articleAnnie Caggiano has been named executive director of the Oconee Economic Alliance. She replaces Janet Hartman, who announced in July she was leaving the post to move to California with her family.
A native of Columbia, Caggiano joins Oconee Economic Alliance after working as a project manager at the S.C. Department of Commerce, according to a news release. She started her career in economic development in 2004 as director of research for the Central SC Alliance.
For eight years Caggiano represented local governments surrounding Columbia. From there she went on to serve as senior project manager for South Carolina’s public utility Santee Cooper and as the assistant director of Richland County, the release said.
