Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina will induct three new laureates into the South Carolina Business Hall of Fame in March.

The distinction, which will celebrated during an event March 9 at the Pastides Alumni Center at the University of South Carolina, honors lifetime achievements for those who have made a positive impact on South Carolina, a Junior Achievement news release stated.

The honorees, called laureates, champion free enterprise and can be viewed as role models in business for the youth of the Palmetto State, the release stated. They were chosen for their contributions to South Carolina's business landscape, for being an agent of positive change, for their leadership and for being a source of inspiration to the leaders of tomorrow.

The hall, established by Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina in 1985, honors leaders who have left their mark on South Carolina by personifying four core values: integrity, leadership, respect and excellence/history of civic achievement.

Junior Achievement of Greater South Carolina reaches more than 35,000 students per year in 43 counties throughout the state, the release stated. For over the last 54 years the organizations has had an impact on over 830,000 youth.
