Advantage Media Group buys office space in People’s Building

The Charleston-based business book publisher and marketing company Advantage Media Group Inc. has acquired 15,000-square-feet of office space on two floors of the People’s Building, located at 18 Broad St.

The company paid $4.9 million for the downtown Charleston office condo, financed through Fountainhead Commercial Capital.

“Advantage Media Group is revolutionizing the publishing industry from a now growing headquarters in historic Charleston,” said Chris Hurn, CEO of Fountainhead, in a statement.  “This acquisition positions the company for growth and offers its executives the opportunity to own their space, stop paying rent and grow their wealth.”

Advantage Media plans to expand its business at the new location, but will continue to house some of its operations at its current 65 Gadsden St. location, according to a news release.

Advantage Media was founded by Adam Witty in 2005, and specializes in marketing for entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals who want to grow their business. In 2016, Advantage Media partnered with Forbes to create Forbes Books, the first book-publishing imprint for Forbes.
