Sorinex Exercise Equipment has purchased a 97,000-square-foot industrial facility in Lexington for $2.7 million.
The facility, situated on 8.32 acres at 120 Glassmaster Road, is located on the same exit off Interstate 20 as Sorinex’s headquarters and main manufacturing hub on Litton Drive. Sorinex is relocating existing operations in West Palm Beach, Fla., as well as two smaller leased warehouses in the greater Columbia area, to the new facility, which will feature multiple functions to sustain Sorinex’s long-term growth and meet customer demand.
“Sorinex is proud to produce world-class strength gear to those who can't afford to lose,” Bert Sorin, Sorinex president and co-owner, said in a news release from Columbia commercial real estate firm Trinity Partners. “We are also thrilled that we can still do it right here in Lexington, S.C., using American steel, fabricated with American hands.”
Trinity’s Macon Lovelace represented Sorinex in the transaction. Sorinex is expected to occupy the space this summer after interior and exterior upgrades and the installation of new equipment lines.
“Sorinex has been a long-term client of our company and we have really enjoyed seeing their success and national recognition in being the top brand in their industry. … We are honored they chose to work with us again as they expand their investment in Lexington County,” Lovelace said.
