A business solutions firm will move its Columbia offices to the city’s growing BullStreet District.

Elliott Davis LLC will occupy the second floor of the Westlawn office building starting in the fall, according to a press release. More than 80 employees will work in a 19,500-square-foot space with private access to an outdoor terrace overlooking Matilda Evans Street.

Elliott Davis is a business solutions firm offering a full spectrum of services in the areas of tax, comprehensive assurance and consulting services to diverse businesses, organizations and individuals, the release said.

The company employs nearly 800 people across the U.S., including Columbia, and also has alliance resources around the globe.

“We are looking forward to being a part of the exciting things happening in the BullStreet District,” says Rick Davis, CEO of Elliott Davis. “Our new Columbia location, in one of the most unique office buildings in South Carolina, will feature modern amenities and state-of-the-art technology, allowing us to expand the reach of our services and provide more space for our team to collaborate and innovate.”

The five-story, 79,000-square-foot WestLawn building is encased within 10-foot-tall window to maximize natural light and was constructed with cross-laminated timber, which was invented in the 1990s as the only structural commercial building material that is a sustainable and renewable resource. It significantly reduces reliance upon concrete and steel, according to the release. This is the first building in Columbia to be built with the special timber.

“Elliott Davis is one of the premier firms of its kind in South Carolina,” says Robert Hughes, president of Hughes Development Corporation, which handles development at BullStreet. “They’re terrific corporate citizens and will be a great addition to the growing list of businesses and organizations in WestLawn.”

Elliott Davis will join other tenants at WestLawn including the Robinson Gray Stepp & Laffitte law firm and international infrastructure consulting firm AECOM.
