Dozens of construction, development and renovation projects have been featured in the Charleston Regional Business Journal this year.

For the next two editions of Charleston Under Construction, the Business Journal will select several projects to feature at the beginning of the bimonthly special section.

These projects all have something in common that could indicate a trend or growth area in a particular sector. By identifying these common projects, the Business Journal hopes to help small to midsize businesses in the Charleston area find opportunity now and into the coming year.

In this edition, several projects — in Moncks Corner, Mount Pleasant, North Charleston and Charleston — involve schools and educational facilities, such as a 6,000-seat athletic facility in Mount Pleasant and a new student living facility at Charleston Southern University.

Check Monday's print edition of the Charleston Regional Business Journal for many other projects under construction across the region.
