Luxury estate sells for $1.4 million

More than 70 prospective buyers and brokers previewed Cedar Knoll Estate, which also features a two-bedroom guest house. Six registered to bid on the property at 602 Greene St., according to a news release from online auction company Interluxe.
The transaction is expected to close within the next 45 days.
The estate, adjacent to the Camden Polo Fields and less than 30 minutes from Columbia, was originally built in the 1830s and has been renovated to include modern updates, including a 60-by-20-foot saltwater pool installed less than two years ago.
The main house features a two-story, columned porch and a grand mahogany staircase, along with a library, grand dining room, elevator and 1,200-bottle wine cellar.
