Online children’s shop Duck Duck Goose will open a brick-and-mortar location at 2816 Devine St. in August.

Owner Sarah Monteith Rama, a Columbia resident, is renovating and updating the retail space that previously housed children’s boutique Little Lambs & Ivy, which closed this summer.

“As a longtime resident of Columbia, I’m so excited to be expanding my online business and opening Duck Duck Goose on Devine Street,” Rama said in a news release. “I look forward to greeting our customers face-to-face and giving them their tried-and-true brands of children’s clothing, and also introducing Columbia to a few new lines as well. It’s a dream come true to have the ability to contribute to the local economy in a town that I love so dearly.”

The store will feature layette items for babies and clothing lines for older children along with gifts and accessories. Brands will include La Petite Fleur, Little English, The Beaufort Bonnet Company and Johnnie-O. The shop will also offer a baby registry.

Rama’s online business, launched in August 2017, will remain open.

An opening date for the store will be announced.
