Charleston boat dealership Rogue Motion is under new ownership.

David Moore, president of Dandelion Mergers & Acquisitions, represented former owner Dru Williams in the sale of the company to Steven Lefebvre and Celeste Lefebvre of Mount Pleasant. The terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Rogue Motion opened in 2007 on Folly Road on James Island and later moved to the St. Andrews Crossing shopping center at S.C. Highway 61 and Sycamore Avenue in West Ashley. The dealership mainly sells certified pre-owned boats and provides indoor boat storage, but it also handles boat exportation and transportation.

Moore said Williams sold Rogue Motion because he was planning to move to Florida and start a new business there.

The Lefebvres previously owned Handyman Connection of Charleston. They doubled the revenue of that business before selling it earlier this year, according to a news release.

Moore worked with the duo during the sale of Handyman Connection and said they were looking for a business of a larger scale.

“They wanted to buy something that was part of the Charleston business community, instead of starting something fresh,” Moore said.

The Lefebvres plan to add a new line of boats and about 10 jobs at Rogue Motion. Moore said they also want to open a second location in North Charleston within the next two years.
