Art studio Tapp’s Outpost has moved from Main Street into a new home at 713 Saluda Ave. in Five Points.

The arts center features five artists studios along with a small works gallery and will collaborate on performance programming with neighboring live music venue The White Mule, according to a news release from the Five Points Association.

Formerly known as Tapp’s Art Center, Tapp’s Outpost is a 501(c)3 organization and production incubator for local cultural entrepreneurs.

Tapp’s Outpost joins newly relocated coffee shop The Local Buzz in Five Points. The coffee shop, a fixture in the Rosewood neighborhood since 2015, officially opened at 631 Harden St. on Jan. 9.

The shop, which also offers baked goods along with house-made breakfast and lunch items, will feature a job training program from young adults with disabilities, according to the release. The Local Buzz specializes in vegan and gluten-free food and drinks.
