Two new businesses are set to open in Columbia in the next two weeks.
On Friday, North Main will welcome its newest resident, Good Vibes Paint & Sip. The venue, which will offer the chance to create paintings with an emphasis on mental health and wellness, will be located at 2510 Main St., Suite A, in the NOMA Trestle District.
Columbia Mayor Daniel Rickenmann, at-large Councilwoman Aditi Bussells and District 1 Councilwoman Tina Herbert will join members of the city’s Office of Business Opportunities, representatives from the North Columbia Business Association and the owner and staff of Good Vibes at an 11:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.
On June 16, the Congaree Vista will add a new restaurant concept with the grand opening ceremony for Silk Restaurant and Lounge. The multilevel, upscale fusion restaurant and cocktail lounge will feature brunch and dinner services, handcrafted cocktails and an upbeat atmosphere.
The new restaurant will be located at 902 Gervais St., Suite C, across from Liberty Tap Room.
Rickenmann will be joined at the 1 p.m. ceremony by District 2 Councilman Edward McDowell Jr. as well as economic development officials and the owner and staff of Silk.
