Integral Solutions Group (ISG) marks a milestone in 2017 that not many companies can boast – 30 years in business. Over the course of those three decades, ISG has networked itself into an industry leader in managed services. The Spartanburg-based company is a division of the J M Smith Corp., one of the largest privately held companies in South Carolina.
When asked about the secret to ISG’s success, Joe Strayer, president, doesn’t hesitate with his answer. “We think long term,” Strayer said. “Long-term thinking delivers better results and happier customers.”
ISG has grown from a company that began installing cabling and network infrastructure to one that now offers managed services that can help mid-size businesses to large corporations with offices across the country.
“We provide solutions that include cloud services, network integration and access to the only commercially available Tier IV Data Center in the state of South Carolina,” Kim Mann, vice president of sales and marketing, added. “When dealing with technology, companies are looking for reliability and a partner who will still be in business a year from now. That longevity combined with our client base and financial stability means we can offer top-notch IT services at competitive rates.”
Integral Solution Group’s Tier IV Data and Business Continuity Center is owned and managed by ISG. The impressive facility delivers around-the-clock data management and security solutions to protect the client’s business. Should one of ISG’s partners be faced with a disaster that compromises its data or facility, that client can move operations to Integral’s Data Center and forge on with a “business as usual” mentality. ISG’s staff will work behind-the-scenes to restore business operations.
For security reasons, ISG does not release the names of its partners. But Mann does say the client list is impressive. “We cover almost every industry in the Southeast,” she said. “From educational and financial institutions to health care and manufacturers, we have a diverse list of clients that helps us have the expertise to serve all companies.”
While ISG is based in Spartanburg, the company also has offices in Greenville, Columbia and Charleston.
“As more companies are moving to the Carolinas and Southeast, Integral is always evaluating to ensure we are offering the products and solutions that best serve those who need them,” Strayer said.
Integral Solutions Group expects the growth of the company to continue, both through organic growth and through acquisition. ISG recently merged with Radiate Technologies in Charleston.
A lot has changed in the computer industry since 1987, but what hasn’t changed is ISG’s determination to anticipate what a client may need five years down the road. ISG’s staff realizes they aren’t only charting the course for their company, but for those companies with whom they partner.
