A Plano, Texas-based company has acquired Good Done Great, a North Charleston-based technology firm that helps employees give to nonprofits.
The companies did not disclose the acquisition amount.
David Barach and Earl Bridges co-founded Good Done Great in 2009 in Tacoma, Wash., and Charleston. The company now has 60 employees total in offices in North Charleston, Tacoma and Stuart, Fla. About 30 are in North Charleston, at 3955 Faber Place.
All employees have now joined YourCause LLC, the acquirer. No layoffs are planned and the North Charleston office will remain, company spokeswoman Kelly Luciano said in an email.
Good Done Great’s software involves corporate grant management, employee giving, volunteer hour tracking and employee engagement programs. More than 2 million employees at 60 companies use the platform, the company said.
YourCause has similar software, focused on grant writing and employee giving.
Inc. Magazine ranked YourCause No. 1809 on its Inc. 5000 List of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. in 2016, citing 206% growth since 2013 and $6.2 million in revenue. Good Done Great came in at No. 2375 in 2016, with 153% growth since 2013 and $3 million in revenue, according to the list.
With the acquisition, the YourCause Global Good Network expands to 160 countries and more than 6.5 million employees who give to more than 100,000 nonprofits collectively. YourCause said it expects to expand service offerings in the coming months.
In a news release, Barach said the combining of teams and resources “will lead the next phase of industry growth and CSR (corporate social responsibility) program evolution — one defined by simplicity, integration and impact.”
