Information technology support company Provalus is opening a technology innovation center in Clarendon County, with plans to create 105 jobs.

A news release from Gov. Henry McMaster’s office says the innovation center will be on North Brooks Street in Manning. It will expand the company’s domestic services for business process outsourcing, information technology outsourcing and support.

The Manning innovation center will be the third facility Provalus, which also has locations in Alabama and Texas, has opened since its 2017 founding.

Operations are expected to begin in January, and the company is currently hiring.

“We’re on a mission to bring jobs back to the U.S.,” Chuck Ruggiero, Provalus president, said in the release. “Provalus is not only solving the tech talent shortage in America, it’s also giving families an opportunity to improve their livelihoods.”

According to its website, Provalus is “elevating under-served communities by providing technology, business and support positions to untapped talent in the U.S.,” bringing billions of dollars spent on outsourcing projects into the U.S. economy while transforming communities in the process.

“We started in rural Alabama, expanded to South East Texas … and we’ve only just begun,” the website said.

“We are consistently working at diversifying our local economy. Provalus’ decision to locate in downtown Manning builds on that strong foundation,” said Clarendon County Council Chairman Dwight Stewart.
