Immedion partners with Veeam for advanced backup solutions

Immedion LLC, a provider of cloud, data center and managed IT services, today announced enhanced backup services through an expanded partnership with Switzerland-based Veeam Software.

The objective of the partnership between Immedion and Veeam is to offer a quicker, more cost-effective and easier way to follow the 3-2-1 rule of backup practices: storing three copies of data on two types of media, with at least one copy stored off-site, according to a news release.

Whether production data is stored on-site, in the cloud or any data center, Veeam Cloud Connect enables clients to back up their data into Immedion’s cloud, the release said.

“As more organizations move towards a multicloud production strategy utilizing public, private and hybrid clouds, they have an even greater need for a consistent and reliable backup that will work for all of their cloud environments,” Matt Kalmenson, Veam’s vice president of service and cloud provider sales in the Americas, said in the release. “Veeam and Immedion together help clients fulfill these needs.”

Immedion is also leveraging Veeam Cloud Connect to offer fully managed on-site backup appliances, with backups to the Immedion Cloud, the release said. This allows the Immedion team to manage the entire process from the installation of the appliance to starting the backups and replicating copies off-site to Immedion facilities.

“This partnership with Veeam is just one part of Immedion’s strategy to help accelerate customers on their cloud journey,” Brad Alexander, Immedion’s vice president and chief technology officer, said in the release.

Immedion is headquartered in Greenville, with additional data center facilities in Asheville, North Charleston, Columbia, Spartanburg, Columbus, Ind., and Cincinnati. Veeam has North American locations in Columbus, Ohio, Atlanta, Phoenix, Boston, Montreal and Mexico City.
