Greenville startup ScopeStack recently received a $250,000 grant from SC Launch. (Photo/Provided)ScopeStack Inc., a software service solution startup based in Greenville, plans to expand its operations and workforce with a $250,000 investment from SC Launch Inc.

Launched by IT providers, the company helps automate the presales process for IT, managed and cloud service providers. According to a news release, ScopeStack’s software platform enables engineers to accurately price professional services and reduces the time used to scope a product.

“Solving problems and providing solutions is always top of mind when we consider supporting a startup,” Lee MacIlwinen, investment manager of SC Launch’s affiliate, SCRA, said in a news release. “The ScopeStack team spent many years copying information from one platform to another manually and updating documents and spreadsheets to generate proposals. They fully understood the problem and came up with an innovative software solution to solve it. ScopeStack is revolutionizing the statement of work process, making it truly turnkey.”

ScopeStack became an SC Launch Member Company in 2018 and later received a $25,000 Project Development Fund Grant and a $50,000 Acceleration Grant, making the startup a SC Launch Inc. portfolio company.

“To successfully grow any business, you need a trusted partner who believes in your mission and is willing to support you through the various phases of growth,” Jon Scott, founder and CEO of ScopeStack, said in the release. “SCRA is that trusted partner for us. We talk to them about the goals of our company, and they continually listen, while providing the support, advice and the funding we need to continue growing.”

ScopeStack has a growing client base, including some of the industry’s largest global IT distributors, IT resellers and managed services providers, according to the release.

“Behind every statement of work is a plan of improvement or something new that is going to help an organization accomplish a goal,” SCRA Executive Director Bob Quinn said in the news release. “ScopeStack has taken the headache out of the statement of work process. Their platforms include everything from documentation and approvals to workflow and pricing.”
