The South Carolina Research Authority recently accepted one tech company as a new member and provided grant funding to two others.

All SCRA Member Companies receive coaching, access to experts in SCRA’s Resource Partner, eligibility to apply for grant funding, and the potential to be considered for investment from SCRA’s investment affiliate, SC Launch Inc.

Case Status out of North Charleston has been accepted as an SCRA Member Company. Information technology company provides client service software for the legal industry that proactively sends client updates and communication, allowing staff to handle more cases and resolve cases faster, according to a news release.

Greenville-based Sagacity Solutions LLC received a $25,000 project development fund grant. The tech startup developed a platform that helps venture capital firms request, collect, and analyze portfolio company performance, thereby freeing up team members’ time to make more informed decisions.

Secure Process Intelligence LLC out of Fort Mill also received a $25,000 project development fund grant. The information technology company provides tech solutions that optimize operations with a cloud dashboard.

Grant funding is made possible, in part by Industry Partnership Fund contributions that fuel the state’s innovation economy, according to the release. Contributors to the IPF receive a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit, making it an easy and effective way to help one of the fastest-growing segments of the South Carolina economy. Grant funding for Member Companies creates a direct, positive economic effect and job creation.
