Frontier Airlines will double the number of flights between Denver and Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. Twice weekly nonstop flights will increase to four times a week beginning May 3, according to a GSP news release.

Denver is one of the top destinations for GSP’s passengers, the release said.

“We’re excited to have Frontier add additional flights to Denver for people traveling from the Upstate,” Dave Edwards, GSP president and CEO, said in the release. “This type of commitment to our market by Frontier is a direct result of the strong support from the community for these flights to the Mile High City and connecting beyond to cities on the West Coast.”

Frontier’s Denver flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

The airline’s seasonal nonstop service to Las Vegas and Orlando will also resume May 3, the release said. Las Vegas and Orlando flights to and from GSP will operate each week on Monday and Friday.

Frontier is one of six airlines operating from GSP, which had a record-breaking 2018 with more than 2.3 million passengers. The airport also saw a 20% rise in cargo activity last year, according to information previously released by GSP.  The airport offers about 100 daily flights to 19 destinations. Frontier is the newest airline, with its first GSP flight landing last September.
