  • Adaptive use: structures rehabilitated with sensitivity to their historic past and that function differently from their original intent. Recent recipients include The Grand on Main and the Hunter-Gatherer at Curtiss-Wright Hangar.
  • New construction in a historic context: New buildings in a historic district adjacent to or within historic structures. Recent recipients include Shandon Presbyterian Church and the S.C. State Museum.
  • Preservation leadership: An individual, corporation, governmental agency or community/neighborhood association that has advanced historic preservation in a region. Recent recipients include the Waverly Neighborhood Association.

Projects completed within the last five years located in the city of Columbia and Richland County will be considered. Recipients will be recognized at an awards ceremony in May.
