Oldcastle APG, a global manufacturer of outdoor living and building materials, is investing $25 million to establish operations in Fairfield County in a move expected to create 100 jobs.
The new facility, located at 355 Commerce Blvd. in Ridgeway, is slated to be completed by September 2021. Founded in Ireland in 1932, Oldcastle APG has 186 locations in North America.
“As business continues to expand for Oldcastle APG around the globe and particularly in the Southeast, we are prepared to meet customer demand with strategic investments in our manufacturing facilities,” Tim Ortman, Oldcastle APG president, said in a news release. “As the leading provider of outdoor living and building materials in our industry, we look forward to strengthening our footprint with a fourth manufacturing facility in South Carolina.”
The facility will increase the company’s hardscapes production capabilities in the Carolinas and produce the Belgard hardscapes product line. Oldcastle APG’s products also include concrete mixes, mortars and composite decking.
