Ristorante Juliet is partnering with Semilla Mexican food truck from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday for a chef collaboration focused on pizza and tacos.

Stridion, Sells, Boatman

Parcel 32, a new restaurant coming to 442 King St. in the spring, has hired Shaun Brian Sells as chef de cuisine and Stafford Boatman as sous chef.

Sells graduated from Johnson & Wales and has been named a "30 Under 30" chef by Zagat. Boatman joined Patrick Properties Hospitality Group in 2016 as sous chef for event catering. He has 12 years' culinary experience.

Sells and Boatman join executive chef Digby Stridiron in developing the menu, which will focus on Carolina heritage by using fresh herbs, produce, meats and fish from local farms and fishermen.

The seventh annual Taste of Black Charleston is scheduled for 7:30 to 11 p.m. March 9 at the S.C. Aquarium. The event will include samples of food and beverages from multiple restaurants and vendors.

Early bird tickets are $75; tickets bought after March 7 will be $85.

Edmund’s Oast Exchange and Counter Cheese Caves are holding an Apres Ski Fondue Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22. The event will include wines and beers paired with fondue.

The event is $5 to attend, with proceeds benefiting the restaurant’s current charity partner, Operation Home.
