On the Menu provides the latest news from the Charleston area’s culinary community, including new restaurants, new menu items and upcoming events, as well as details about local chefs. Submissions should be sent to [email protected].

Edmund’s Oast, Edmund’s Oast Exchange and Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co. are scheduled to host several events in the coming weeks.

Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co. events:

  • Pizza Party with La Morra, Zach Swemle and Marlee Blodgett from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Edmund’s Oast events:

  • Pop-up with Charlotte bartender Bob Peters at 5 p.m. Thursday in The Bower.
  • Switcharoo II fundraiser at 5 p.m. Friday.

Edmund’s Oast Exchange events:

  • Book signing and tasting with Brooklyn brewer Garrett Oliver from 4:15 to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are $30, and space is limited.
  • Wine tasting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $5, and the proceeds benefit Operation Home.
  • Fancy Wine Happy Hour with Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rouge 2013 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday. Glasses are $17.
  • Free grower champagne testing led by certified sommelier Sarah O’Kelley from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Participants will taste four champagnes from small, independent producers. The event is free and open to the public.
  • Free beer tasting with Edmund’s Oast Brewing Co. beers from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Madra Rua Irish Pub’s Park Circle location is hosting an anniversary party from 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday to celebrate 15 years in business. The event will have live music, giveaways and a chance to win a $100 gift certificate. There will also be $5 appetizer specials.
