As a part of its new Backyard, Beach & Boat Bites Menu, Hamby Catering is offering its Summer Adventure Package, which serves four for $55.

It includes pinwheel bites on a sundried tomato wrap, chicken salad tea sandwiches, fresh fruit and vegetables, spinach dip and chips, and homemade cookie sandwiches. Other items can be added a la carte.

Orders must be placed 24 hours in advance and are available for curbside pickup at The Market in West Ashley, at 925 St. Andrews Blvd., or at the Mount Pleasant pop-up location, at 610 Coleman Blvd.


Gale Restaurant at 601 Meeting St. in downtown Charleston will be reopening Friday for take-out for lunch and dinner.

Owner and chef Brett Chizinski has developed an Italian-inspired menu focusing on local ingredients with small plates, pizza, pasta and large plates. Dishes include sambal margherita pizza made in a woodfired oven with chili oil and honey from Chizinski’s mother’s backyard, Parisian gnocchi with homemade sausage, and mushroom and squash lasagna.

Pickup is available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 8 p.m. for dinner. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays.

With the re-emergence of COVID-19 cases among restaurant employees, Gale Restaurant is delaying dine-in until they can fully assure employees’ safety.
