Queen Street Hospitality Group’s Jalisco Taqueria & Tequila will host a Dia De Los Muertos parking lot party from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The Jalisco team will be roasting two whole goats and a pig and serving tacos, and drink sponsor Patron will be on site pouring party pouches. Cornhole and live music from DJFour5 will also be available. The first 80 attendees will receive a free skull face mask.


Dashi has launched Stash Gourmet, a text message ordering platform for contactless dinner deliveries. Customers can receive menu alerts by texting the word “DASHI” to 474747.

There are eight options to choose from for delivery between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., Wednesdays through Sundays. This week’s menu consists of duck ramen, beef salad, pork belly fried rice and burritos (available in chicken, steak, shrimp, pork belly or tofu).

Dashi also will be offering $5 drink specials from 4-10 p.m. Saturday. Drinks include Firefly’s Potion Shooter, made with Firefly rum and cherry juice, and an orange margarita with a black salted rim. Children under 13 will receive a free meal and bowl of ice cream.


For the seventh year in a row, Hamby Catering has partnered with the Lowcountry Food Bank to sponsor a Thanksgiving meal for a local family in need for every Gobble Gobble package purchased off their Thanksgiving menu.

The Gobble Gobble package can serve eight for $179 or four for $129. Both sizes include roasted turkey, baked macaroni and cheese, sweet potato casserole, green beans, cornbread dressing and turkey gravy. Customers can also upgrade to a bourbon-smoked turkey that comes with cranberry orange relish.

All package items can be ordered a la carte, along with other sides, desserts and wines. Orders must be placed by 5 p.m. Nov. 21 and can be picked up from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 25 at the Market at Hamby, located at 925 St. Andrews Blvd.


Holy City Hospitality and Events by Good Food Catering is offering a Thanksgiving menu. Orders must be placed by noon Nov. 20 and picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 24 and 25 at the Historic Rice Mill.

The menu feeds up to 10 people for $185. It includes roasted turkey breast, giblet gravy, orange cranberry chutney, cornbread stuffing, macaroni and cheese, green beans, biscuits and sweet potato pies. Additional items can be added.


Warrior Surf Foundation is partnering with Mex 1 Coastal Cantina to host a fundraiser to send eight veteran members to Thunderbomb Surf Camp in Nicaragua next June, where they will focus on healing through psycho-education, positive psychology and resiliency.

Starting Nov. 11 for Veteran’s Day, $1 from every order of Mex 1’s new Thunderbomb taco will go toward the cost of food, airfare, accommodations and experiences for this weeklong retreat. The Thunderbomb taco is made with Baja battered wahoo, red cabbage, pineapple salsa and guacamole sauce and will be sold through the end of the year at all three Mex 1 locations on Sullivan’s Island, West Ashley and Park West.
