Tacos n’ Tequila Fiesta scheduled for March 25

The Tacos n’ Tequila Fiesta in downtown Greenville will take place March 25 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Old Cigar Warehouse. The fiesta will feature local bartenders and chefs bringing their best tacos and cocktail ideas to downtown Greenville, according to a news release. Food and drink submissions will be put to the test by local judges in a competition in order to win the Golden Sombrero Award and $2,000 in cash prizes.

“We had an amazing turnout for the first year, and it’s looking like this year will top that considerably,” said Tammy Johnson, High Spirits Events’ CEO, in the release. “We are ecstatic to bring a fun annual event like this to the local food scene.”

Lunazul is the presenting sponsor, while Gold level sponsors include Modelo, Bravo1 Protection and Liquid Catering. More sponsorship opportunities can be found online. Proceeds benefit Greenville Tech Culinary School.

All attendees must be 21 years of age or older and have ID on them to enter the event. In addition to the drink tickets, there will be cash bars on site.
