A pop-up business school is coming to Charleston for 10 days next month to help budding entrepreneurs launch their business.

PopUp Business School, a company based in Wokingham, England, will bring a variety of courses to Citadel Mall weekdays from Feb. 17 to Feb. 28.

Each day will include a morning session from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and an afternoon session from 1:30 to 3 p.m.

Courses will teach attendees how to start a business, how to promote and grow their business, how to navigate legal aspects, how to network, and how to negotiate, among other topics. Attendance is free and participants do not have to attend every day.

The PopUp Business School in Charleston is sponsored by the city of Charleston, the Medical University of South Carolina, former Benefitfocus CEO Shawn Jenkins, Baker Motor Co., Citadel Mall and the law firm Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick LLP.

PopUp Business School was founded in 2012 by Alan Donegan and Simon Paine. According to the company’s website, PopUp ran 38 workshops and helped start 680 businesses in 2018.
