Popular Columbia Mexican restaurant to add third location

Owners of a popular Mexican restaurant in northeast Columbia recently announced expansion to a third location.

Tacos Nayarit, currently located at 1531 Percival Road, will be opening another location at 1100 Knox Abbott Drive in Cayce, according to announcements from the owners. The new location will open later this year.

In late 2022, the owners of Tacos Nayarit also announced that they had signed paperwork for a second location at 1720 Lake Murray Blvd. in Irmo. Permitting and construction for that site are still underway and it is anticipated to be at least 18 months before the Irmo location is up and running.

Tacos Nayarit is named after the state of Nayarit in southern Mexico. The original restaurant on Percival Road, located near Fort Jackson, regularly attracts large crows for its menu of fresh-made Mexican dishes including traditional tacos, torta sandwiches and more. The restaurant also features traditional desserts. Customers can pick the meats, fillings and sauces for their dishes and watch as they are prepared.
