A popular Charleston-area barbecue restaurant is making its first foray into Mount Pleasant next month.

Swig & Swine is opening a 3,600-square-foot location at 2379 S.C. Highway 41 in Mount Pleasant near the forthcoming Shipyard Park on the Wando River. The restaurant is scheduled to open in February, and the baseball complex is scheduled to open later this year.

The Mount Pleasant location will overlook Shipyard Park’s two college-level baseball fields and three intermediate-level fields; it will be able to seat 88 guests in total, 68 inside and 20 on an outdoor patio.

Swig & Swine, owned by Queen Street Hospitality Group, will also manage the baseball complex’s concessions and have exclusive catering access to the facility, which will also serve as an event space.

“We are very excited to bring Swig & Swine across the river to Mount Pleasant. … We think this is a natural progression for Swig & Swine and Queen Street Hospitality,” Anthony DiBernardo, owner of Swig & Swine, said in a statement.

This is Queen Street Hospitality’s third Swig & Swine location. The company also has locations at 1217 Savannah Highway in Charleston and at 1990 Old Trolley Road in Summerville.

The restaurant will hold a job fair for all positions from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Mount Pleasant location.
