The S.C. Technical College System has partnered with ECPI University to streamline the transfer process for graduates.

Students at South Carolina’s 16 technical colleges who complete an associate in arts, science or applied science degree with an agreed-upon cumulative grade-point average can enter ECPI as a junior, and all transfer courses will be accepted and applied toward an approved baccalaureate program.

“Affordability and accessibility are the foundation blocks of the S.C. Technical College System,” Tim Hardee, president of the system, said in a statement. “We are the entry point into higher education for the majority of South Carolinians. This agreement with ECPI opens up new doors and provides more options for our students to achieve their educational and career goals."

The program is designed to help make transferring faster and less expensive.

“This public-private partnership creates an opportunity for transferring students to earn their bachelor's degree much faster,” ECPI President Mark Dreyfus said. “Through our accelerated, year-round schedule, they can complete their program in about a year. Our skills-based curriculum means we can produce graduates who are ready to compete in today's job market.”
