Airline adds flights from Greenville-Spartanburg airport to this Texas city

The Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier American Airlines is expanding service from its hometown airport, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), which includes increased service on 30 domestic and international routes — including flights from Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport.

Greenville/Spartanburg flights to Dallas-Fort Worth will increase to three daily departures.

American highlights that this additional service will combine to offer travelers more than 10,000 connecting flight options around the world via DFW.

The third flight to Dallas Fort Woth is on the schedule starting June 5, said Tiffany Cherry, Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport communications manager. In addition to the increased frequency of American Airlines’ DFW route, the airline is also adding a second Miami (MIA) flight to its schedule starting May 6, she added.

Just last month, Southwest Airlines announced its expansion of its nonstop service from the Upstate to the western U.S.

The airline is expanding its presence at Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport with the addition of new nonstop service to Denver International Airport beginning June 8.
