Frontier Airlines adds nonstop flights to Texas, N.J.
The airline said today it will launch service to Austin, Texas, and Trenton, N.J., in April. The announcement brings to five the number of destinations to which the low-fare carrier will launch nonstop service in the first half of 2018.
FAA clears 787-10 for commercial service
The Federal Aviation Administration cleared the S.C.-built 787-10 Dreamliner for commercial service. The newest Dreamliner jet received the federal agency’s amended type certificate to round out a nearly yearlong flight test program.
Mann leaving Columbia airport to take Louisville position
Columbia Metropolitan Airport executive director Dan Mann will become executive director of the Louisville Regional Airport Authority in Louisville, Kentucky, in March.
Boeing reports record deliveries in 2017
The 787 Dreamliner twin-aisle jet remains in demand, helping to drive customer orders for new airplanes. Boeing delivered 136 Dreamliners in 2017, with 36 made in the fourth quarter. Overall, Boeing delivered 763 airplanes last year.
Allegiant brings 3 nonstop flights to CHS
The seasonal routes will fly twice weekly between Charleston and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, Indianapolis International Airport and Pittsburgh International Airport. The routes will run from April to October.
