Details

Join us for an evening guaranteed to broaden your perspective when six local individuals with disabilities share their unique stories or talk about a topic they are passionate about. CAN Talks is designed to broaden perspectives about disabilities, highlight self-advocacy and promote inclusion. The Barbara Stone Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on supporting visionary and creative programs for individuals with disabilities, is hosting this special event that is sure to spark new conversations and challenge outdated stereotypes. There will be a powerful performance, focused on celebrating JOY, by an inclusive drum ensemble, featuring drummers from Thrive Upstate and the DRUM Percussion Studio. Doors Open at 6:00 p.m. A cocktail reception and a presentation for Fall BSF grant winners start at 6:15 p.m. The CAN Talks event begins at 7:00 p.m. Centre Stage does have ample accessible seating options for guests using wheelchairs and adjoining companion seating; however, due to the nature of this event, this seating will fill up quickly. If you require accessible seating, let Lara Ceisel know in advance at [email protected] or call at 828-808-1896.
