The grand unveiling of the $1.75 million-renovated  and rebranded Greenville private business and social club founded nearly 40 years ago marks a new era of “modern excellence” for the Upstate.

The City Club of Greenville rebranded and renovated its establishment on the 17th floor of One Liberty Square in downtown Greenville. The revitalized space and curated culinary additions promise a “heightened experience of sophistication” that is purposed to redefine the standards of hospitality in the heart of the city, according to a news release.

The club features 360-degree panoramic views of Greenville, personalized dining and service experiences to include breakfast, lunch and dinner, coffee concierge service, an active array of monthly member activities and events, shared and individual workspaces, venues for weddings, rehearsal dinners, anniversaries, business meetings, conferences and more, and protected self-parking.

“We are truly thrilled to share the transformation the City Club of Greenville has undergone,” said Jim Coyne, BNG Hospitality’s founding partner and executive vice president of operations. “Our team has worked tirelessly to reimagine every aspect of the Club with the members in mind.”

BNG also operates clubs in Charleston, Tampa, San Antonio and Costa Mesa, Calif. Coyne said Greenville Commerce Club members also have access to several business clubs and social clubs around the nation.

The interiors have been redesigned to reflect a modern take on the natural elements of the Upstate. This extends to each of the different spaces on the 17th floor, including its ballrooms, lounge, meeting rooms, bar, and dining areas, the release said.

City Club of Greenville, formerly The Commerce Club, has played a vital role in the development of Greenville’s business community through its networking and business opportunities.
