Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach will host its annual Love Your Neighbor Auction virtually at 1 p.m. Jan 24.

In lieu of tickets, participants can purchase Baguette Magic brunch kits, which include a choice of entrée, side, pastry and a drink for pickup or delivery.

Guests will participate in a silent auction of items, including spa experiences, art pieces, wine tastings and restaurant packages, as well as products and services from local businesses. Online bidding will start Jan. 17 and conclude Jan. 24. Executive director Ericka Plater and Mickey Bakst, well-known fundraiser, philanthropist, restaurateur and founder of Feed the Need will cohost the event.

Fetter Health Care Network’s COVID-19 testing clinics in Charleston and Berkeley counties will continue to be open in January. All locations offer both rapid and standard tests. The latest mobile clinic schedule can be found at FetterCovid19Screening.org/testsites. Individuals are asked to employ social distancing and wear a face covering while waiting for testing.

The American Lung Association in South Carolina will host its fifth annual Lip Sync For Lungs on March 11, presented by Motley Rice Law Firm. Funds raised will go toward the association’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support for the organization’s COVID-19 Action Initiative.

The event, which typically takes place at Charleston Music Hall, will be an interactive hybrid experience this year. Participants can attend the drive-in event at The Bend or stream the event from home.

Local celebrities will compete with lip sync performances and dance routines to win the title of Lip Sync Battle Champion. This year’s performers include Charles Carmody from Charleston Music Hall, Eric Elliott from Craft Creative, Bryan Mahanes from OtherBrother Entertainment, Edward Rak from Rak Specific Chiropractic Care and Lois Smith from Gold’s Gym.

Parker’s recently donated a record $20 million to support charitable initiatives throughout the company’s corporate footprint. A new Community Impact Committee is being formed to make decisions about how to allocate the funds strategically in order to make the biggest impact.

Mount Pleasant Towne Centre and Charleston Animal Society will host its Pup Bowl IV adoption event from noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 6 at The Oaks. Funds raised will support the Charleston Animal Society.

This family-friendly event is limited to 200 attendees. Advance registration is required with a $10 entry fee per person. Each guest will also receive a dog or cat toy from Petmate.

Activities will include raffles, treats from Hairy Winston Pet Boutique, live music from DJ Luigi and Latin Groove Entertainment, and performances from the Jig Wigglier Trio and a Bach to Rock student. Food and drinks can also be purchased from available vendors.

Social distancing and masks are required.
