UST forms management company as group grows

A new management company has been formed to handle a surge in growth for a firm that has added more than 200 employees in the last six months.

Greenville-based logistical solutions company UST, now supported by the newly-formed 98 Ventures, an executive management services company, has hired 222 employees, 32 of them in Greenville, according to a news release. The company has extended its footprint to 22 states with operations in more than 70 locations.

As part of this expansion, the existing UST leadership team has transitioned to 98 Ventures to better support UST, UST Select and Equip Fulfillment in all administrative and strategic functions, according to the release.

Overall, the percentage of growth has increased by 48% across all companies. This growth includes adding more full-time employees, including vice president and director-level roles in the Upstate, the release said.

UST is a national third-party logistics solutions company that specializes in the “final mile” delivery of furniture and appliances from the retailer’s warehouse directly to the customer’s home, the news release said.  

UST Select is a logistics solutions company with professionals who manage warehouses, transition and deliver product and interact with customers. UST Select operates without independent contractor drivers and helpers, according to the release. 

Equip Fulfillment is designed to provide easy access to an array of materials and supplies for final-mile logistics companies. These materials include everything from basic janitorial supplies to warehouse equipment.
