Learn to cook at Swamp Rabbit Café and Grocery

Swamp Rabbit Café and Grocery has scheduled August cooking classes, as well as a new series of kids’ cooking classes.

Chef Season Stepp instructs the Cook Local series in the Swamp Rabbit Kitchen. Students will get hands-on instruction on how to bring chef-level dishes into their own kitchens. All classes are 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Tuesday, Aug. 14: Asian Street Food
  • Monday, Aug. 20 and Tuesday, Aug. 21: Fresh Pasta
  • Tuesday, Aug. 28: Italian Vegan

Cooking classes for a parent-child pair (or multiple children and a parent) are also being offered as a fun summer activity. Kids will get to do activities while making lunch. Both classes are 10 a.m. to noon. Swamp Rabbit staff members Susan Schuler and Rachel Pitman instruct both classes.

  • Monday July 30: Mexican Food Kids Cooking Class
  • Wednesday, Aug. 8: Greek Food Kids Cooking Class
