Edmund’s Oast Exchange is hosting master sommelier Larry Stone for a tasting event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The event includes a free tasting of Stone’s Oregon wines, with a selection of chardonnays and pinot noirs.
Swig & Swine is hosting an oyster roast from noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 9 at Trophy Lakes on Johns Island. The family-friendly event includes oysters, a barbecue buffet with sides, specialty cocktails, live music, helicopter rides, axe throwing, and a kids zone with bouncy houses and face painting.
Tickets are $35 per person in advance, or $39 at the door, and $10 for children younger than 12.
Ms. Rose’s Fine Food & Cocktails is hosting its final Comedy Hour of the year from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Brian T. Shirley is headlining the show; he will be joined by Michael Clayton and Jon Antoine.

Sol Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar in Mount Pleasant is celebrating its fifth anniversary, and the restaurant is partnering with My Sister’s House to host Party with a Purpose on Thursday.
Sol will be offering $5 margaritas and $5 bar bites all day. There will be live music on the patio with the High Five Duo from 6 to 9 p.m. and a tequila tasting from 6 to 8 p.m.
15% of all sales for the day will be donated to My Sister’s House, a nonprofit organization that provides resources to survivors of domestic violence.
