People can now check out a good book and then enjoy a good meal at a new eatery that has opened inside the Richland Library in downtown Columbia.

Rambo’s Fat Cat Biscuits has opened in the café space at Richland Library Main at 1431 Assembly St.

The café space offers an in-library dining experience for customers while supporting Midlands entrepreneurs, according to a news release.

Owned and operated by husband and wife team Renee and Todd Adams, Rambo's Fat Cat Biscuits got its start at the Soda City Market before opening its North Main location in November of 2020.

Rambo’s is located on the first level of the main library near the Hampton Street entrance. Customers can enjoy a dine-in or carry-out meal from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new café will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25.

The menu features an assortment of select signature biscuits, sides, coffee, and more.
